The room we had included central heating, iron and ironing board, and coffee and tea making equipment. It was warm, bath large.

Just returned from a fantastic stay at Durham House. Stuart, the host, went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. He even carried our bags to the room! The room itself was basic but had a comfortable bed and a spacious ensuite shower. Each day, the room was thoroughly cleaned and the service tray was restocked. The breakfast was absolutely massive and kept us fueled throughout the day. The location was convenient, with a 30-minute walk or a quick 10-minute bus ride to Newcastle city center. Stuart's hospitality and the homely atmosphere made us feel very welcome. Will definitely stay again!

We had a great welcoming, were shown to our room, and were amazed at how spotless the hotel was. Our room was very large and had everything we needed. The breakfast at 9am was absolutely great and kept us full all day. The owner was absolutely lovely and great to chat with.
